Aavasaksanrinteet is a ski area in Finland, at about 139 m. Its mapped area is about 0.7 km across.
Over the last twelve winters the ERA5 weather model gives it 117 cm of snowfall a season, 2,129th (tied) of 3,069 worldwide and 16th in Finland. Month by month, the most snow falls in December. March brings 77% of January’s snowfall. That is in line with the median for ski areas in Finland (80%). In amount, March brings 24 cm, about the same as the median of 23 cm.
Winter by winter
Across the 12 winters measured, the average is 117 cm, and 7 of them fell short of it. The leanest was 2025/26 with 77 cm; the biggest was 2014/15 with 175 cm (2.3 times as much). For 67% of the 52 ski areas in Finland, the leanest winter was the same 2025/26.
