Month by month
Month by month, the most snow falls in March. March brings as much as January, or more. In amount, March brings 58 cm, more than the median of 6 cm.
Winter by winter
Across the 12 winters measured, the average is 164 cm, and 8 of them fell short of it. The leanest was 2018/19 with 59 cm; the biggest was 2023/24 with 279 cm (4.7 times as much). For 31% of the 181 ski areas in China, the leanest winter was the same 2018/19.
