Month by month, the most snow falls in March. March brings as much as January, or more. In amount, March brings 29 cm, more than the median of 6 cm.
Winter by winter
Across the 12 winters measured, the average is 79 cm, and 6 of them fell short of it. The leanest was 2018/19 with 36 cm; the biggest was 2023/24 with 132 cm (3.7 times as much). For 31% of the 181 ski areas in China, the leanest winter was the same 2018/19.
