Shirakaba and Kurumayama Webcams & Snow Report
This is the high plateau between Kirigamine and Mount Tateshina, with ski slopes and hotels gathered around the shore of Lake Shirakaba. Above Kurumayama Kogen lie the grasslands of Kirigamine, and above Pilatus Tateshina the snowfields in the forests of the northern Yatsugatake, so days off skis can be spent on snowshoes. By rail the gateway is Chino Station on the Chuo Line, with local buses to both Lake Shirakaba and Kurumayama and to the Pilatus Tateshina ropeway.
